Quick reference guide for capturing high-quality installation images in-store

Image Requirements

Orientation & Format

  • Preferred: Landscape images in 16:9 aspect ratio
  • Portrait orientation is acceptable when necessary or fits better
  • Ensure images are well-lit and in focus

Content Focus

  • Display IKEA content prominently (avoid black screens)
  • Show benefits and moving parts when applicable
  • Capture interactive elements and displays
  • Include the room to show screen in context

What to Avoid

  • No installers visible in the image
  • Avoid bystanders or people in the frame
  • No cluttered or messy backgrounds with boxes or installation tools
  • Avoid image reflections of yourself (stand at a slightly slanted angle)
